Role of Social Media Concerning Public Participation and Promotion of City Identity
Assoc. Prof. Matej Jaššo, PhD. is a lecturer in Department of Spatial Planning, Institute of Management, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia. He is a researcher and founding member of Spectra, Centre of Excellence of EU, Bratislava and network coordinator of Spa-ce.net (research network of Central European and Central East European universities and research institutions in the field of spatial planning). He holds master degree in social psychology (1997), PhD. in urban design (2004) and habilitation in spatial planning (2015). He is member of interbranch committee for study programme Spatial Planning (from 2015) at STU Bratislava. His main research focus is aimed to social and interdisciplinary issues in spatial planning: planning cultures, urban semiotics, regional/city identity, public participation, city marketing, theory of planning etc.
